Aims

This module will provide students with: The underpinning knowledge and skills required to apply information and data from public health monitoring, epidemiological studies and research to protect and improve people’s health.

Learning Outcomes

After completing the module the student should be able to:

  1. Critically appraise information and data from epidemiological studies and other types of research.
  2. Critically examine the role of public health monitoring and the limitations of monitoring data.
  3. Critically analyse, synthesise, and apply data and information from research and public health monitoring to protecting and improving population health.
