To enhance knowledge and understanding of international approaches to public health and health system development

Learning Outcomes

After completing the module the student should be able to:

1. Critically explore and discuss human development, health and health rights in relation to Sustainable Development Goal 3
2. Critically appraise innovations and strategies in advancing health at the community level
3. Critically analyse strategies for health system strengthening as a means for achieving Universal Health Coverage
4. Critically explore approaches to improving health in fragile, conflict-affected and vulnerable settings.
