Aims
To develop the requisite project management skills and knowledge necessary to manage the key processes of planning, executing, controlling and closing a project at appropriate stages in the project life cycle.
Learning Outcomes
After completing the module the student should be able to:
1 Critically review and assess the validity of organisational theory that underpins practices related to planning, executing, controlling and closing of projects.
2 Critically examine the inputs, tools and techniques and outputs to the key processes throughout the project life cycle.
3 Plan, monitor and control a complex project at its different stages.
4 Appraise and utilise project management software for planning, monitoring and reporting progress.
