Course Description:

Aims
To introduce students to postgraduate level methodological and theoretical approaches to researching international relations.
To provide students with the opportunity to critically appraise methodological and theoretical approaches to researching international relations.
To provide students with the skills required to undertake a research project at postgraduate level.


Learning Outcomes
After completing the module the student should be able to:
1 Demonstrate a critical understanding of methodologies and theoretical approaches relevant to international relations.
2 Critically evaluate and identify appropriate resources in order to undertake research in international relations.
3 Critically plan and implement research tasks and communicate an understanding of the research process.
