Course Description:

This module will examine the key processes of globalization (economic, cultural and political),  how they impact on the health and health risks of populations and global level responses to them. Key population-based health risks are identified and their strategic response at the global level evaluated. Issues to be explored include communicable and non-communicable disease, health transitions, risk and surveillance, and global health governance. In brief it aims to examine population-based health risk in the context of globalization and the strategic response to this at the global level.
